Cloakroom On The Pavement In Brazil

A man in Brazil has created a cloakroom in the middle of a pavement. Edson Ferreira Maia, who was homeless before he came up with the idea, makes £50 a day to keep the goods while people go into the American consulate in Rio de Janeiro.

Mr Maia has a tent on the pavement in front of the consulate which works as a cloakroom. Because of a security measure the consulate does not allow anyone in the building with bags or electronics. Mr Maia had the idea for the business and asked for the consulate’s permission to open the tent outside it. Now the consulate’s security guards refer people to the tent.
